Thank you for visiting our web site. Here you will find information and details on our operations, member rosters, apparatus information, as well as training opportunities and other special events involving South Toe Fire & Rescue.
South Toe Volunteer Fire & Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization, and like so many other departments, has limited resources. We have two well equipped, unmanned stations. Our main station is located on Highway 80 South in Celo, just below South Toe Elementary School. We also have a substation located on Highway 80 South in Busick, about a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway intersection.
Currently, South Toe Volunteer Fire & Rescue has been blessed with 53 very dedicated volunteers, some with vast experience and knowledge, and others just willing to help and learn. South Toe is currently certified as a fire and medical rescue station, with trained personnel in Fire Suppression, Vehicle Extrication, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Search and Rescue, Open Water Dive and Swift Water Rescue Teams.
Our goals are simple; Maintain life safety and limit property damage from fire and other emergencies while teaching and maintaining a strong Christian atmosphere and environment.
Please feel free to stop by anytime you are in the area. If you would like to tour either of our stations, or need more information, please feel free to contact us with the form provided.
If you need us anytime, never hesitate to call. Dial 911 and we’ll be there for you.
